Adolescent Intensive Day Outpatient Chemical Dependency Program

Initial Assesment

-A counselor meets with the adolescent and one or both parents/guardians to determine the extent of chemical use, address problem areas, and develop a plan of action.

Level One

  • Level One consists of in-depth information on chemical use, abuse, and dependency, and what areas of their lives have been affected by their use of chemicals.
  • It includes lectures, group discussions, activities, and videos.
  • It also includes individual and family counseling sessions
  • We support the interruption of old behaviors/using peers by having the adolescent attend school on-site each day. Students are given the same credits just as they would receive in their home school.
  • Level One is approximately 4-6 weeks and is held Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm. The client will attend group for 4 hours, have lunch, and have school for 3 and a half hours.
  • Level One also consists of Family involvement. Family session are every Friday morning from 8am-9:30am. Family involvement is not only crucial for the adolescent and the family members, but is required. It is our desire to heal the family as a whole and give family members the opportunity to lean about the family system as well as the adolescent about their chemical abuse/dependency.

Level Three

  • Level Three is designed to help adolescents re-enter into school, back with peers and family, and live life in a new way.
  • Level Three is held on Wednesday’s from 4pm – 6pm for approximately 6 – 8 weeks.
  • This level also gives adolescents a continued safe, sober environment to deal with issues or relapse triggers as they arise.
